NO PLACE is located deep in the Devonshire countryside, in the parish of Ebberley. Newly renovated to a high standard, this 2 bedroom property, sleeping 5, has acres of grounds to explore, play and relax in, as well as an outdoor fire pit in the woods and hammock. The property is a self-contained annex, joined onto the owner’s accommodation, but feels very private. Enjoy long country walks, explore nearby Torrington, or visit one of Devon’s spectacular beaches, which are all just a short car journey away. The perfect holiday home for couples or families wanting to relax and get away from it all, in beautiful surroundings. Wireless internet is available free of charge.

LIVING AREAS

Enter the property into a very spacious entrance hall. Cosy red sofas, beamed ceilings and a wood burning fire greet you in the homely lounge. There is seating for 5 people, as well as a dining area seating 5. On cooler evenings make yourselves a fire (initial logs supplied) and relax in front of the flatscreen TV (with Freeview) or choose from a selection of DVDS. Bookshelves contain a selection of board games and books for you to read during your stay. Wireless internet is available free of charge, but please note the connection can be weak at times due to the rural location of the property.

KITCHEN

This very well equipped country kitchen has a range style cooker with double oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, kettle, toaster, crockery, utensils, and a cafetiere.

BEDROOMS

Downstairs next to the lounge you will find a large bedroom containing a double bed and a single bed, sleeping 3 people in total. There is plenty of storage space including a wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Upstairs is where the master bedroom can be found, containing a king size sleigh bed, dressing table, large wardrobe, chest of drawers, flatscreen TV with DVD player. There are lovely country views to enjoy during your Sunday morning lie-in.

BATHROOM

The family bathroom is upstairs and contains a bath with handheld shower facility, WC and hand basin.

OUTDOORS

The real highlight of this property is the extensive grounds that you are free to use. An outdoor dining table is perfect for summer lunches, or evening BBQs. A charcoal BBQ is provided. Or simply relax with a book in the hammock. In the evening make a fire in the fire pit and toast some marshmallows! Outdoor games are provided, including badminton and football.

Parking is available for up to 3 cars on a private driveway.

WALK TO - Explore miles of country lanes right on your doorstep, or walk to the local pub serving food, which is only 1.5 miles away.

CYCLE TO - cyclists can enjoy the network of tranquil country lanes that weave throughout the lush green countryside. Whilst, Just 7 miles away, access is available to over 30 miles of the Tarka Trail route between Braunton and Meeth. The trail, using the old railways of North Devon and passing through the largely unspoilt landscape, is safe for cyclists of all ages and abilities. Meanwhile, the miles of public footpaths make this a ramblers' paradise.

DRIVE TO - Great Torrington, a friendly, welcoming town, set in the midst of rolling, unspoilt green countryside. An ancient settlement extraordinarily sited on an inland cliff top with steep drops down to the River Torridge below. This impressive situation offers spectacular views. In the very heart of Tarka Country, the wonderful landscape has remained practically unchanged since Henry Williamson wrote his classic novel “Tarka the Otter” in the 1920’s.

Torrington boasts a wonderful selection of visitor attractions; from internationally renowned Dartington Crystal Ltd, producing clear, contemporary glassware to export around the world, to Rosemoor the beautiful Royal Horticultural Society gardens, there is something for every taste and every member of the family. Barometer World, (with the biggest collection of barometers in the world) is just outside Torrington, whilst the colourful, new, interactive, 17th century family experience at Torrington 1646, the heart of the "Cavalier Town" is conveniently right in the centre of the town.

The beaches of Westward Ho!, Croyde and Woolacombe are an easy drive from Ebberley. Day trips out to attractions such as Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Watermouth Castle, The Milky Way and The Big Sheep or even take boat trips to Lundy Island or around the dramatic North Devon coast. The historic villages of Clovelly, Lynton and Lynmouth are all within easy driving distance along with the cafes and interesting small shops of Appledore and Bideford.

“Excellent property, excellent vacation!” Reviewed August 24, 2012 This property was well maintained, comfortable and thoughtfully furnished. This was a home that was rented out and not just a property furnished for lettings. It was comfortable, clean with loads of land for the children to play on. There was a tennis net and football pitch for the kids to enjoy. The goats at the bottom of the garden were also a great fascination to our youngest. There were toys and games for young and old provided. The kitchen was well equipped, I didn't have to use any of the utensils I brought assuming there would be sparse equipment provided. There was tableware for inside and outside.

Review #5523285 "Great location and beautiful property" The property was very clean and contained all the essentials. A welcome pack was there on arrival which was appreciated after a long drive! Joe was lovely and very helpful and he made sure our stay was problem free. The gardens were the highlight where we played badminton and had a bar-b-q. We never managed to light the camp fire as it rained for 3-4 days and the ground was very wet. The children adored Oakey and Amber (the resident goats) and they had great fun feeding and playing with them. The area is quite central for everything and we had great fun quadbiking, rifle shooting, kids tackled the high ropes at a nearby adventure centre and the Tarka Cycle trail is very close. The highlight was an afternoon of Archery at Arms of Olde (cost was £120 for 3 hours for 4 of us-steep price but worth it).We also managed an afternoon at the beach at Bude when the sun eventually came out! We would highly recommend this property to families and couples as it is very quiet location. Thanks from the Sung family, Stockport.
